VL-LACE Series

LACE

Modular Edge Computing

Low-power, FPGA-based compute for any platform. LACE processes sensor data onboard to identify the information that matters and make decisions in real time. Choose a standard platform or work with Viridian Labs to match your application requirements.

Flexible Compute

Add compute boards based on your needs.

Process Onboard

Low-power, high-speed compute paired with high-speed data links.

Custom or Standard

Choose an off-the-shelf version or work with us on a custom platform.

Modular Architecture

LACE is modular. Run it as a single board, or as a stack of one controller and multiple compute units, adding compute boards based on your needs. Adjust power and performance and update algorithms during operation.

Protocols and interfaces are tailored to your platform. Choose an off-the-shelf version or collaborate with Viridian Labs on a custom compute platform, from a single board to a full stack.

Our SNOW ANGEL software converts ONNX models into a deployable VHDL build, without a manual HDL rewrite.

Why LACE

  • Faster insight. Flag important observations onboard.
  • Less bandwidth demand. Return the data products that matter.
  • More autonomy. Act without waiting for a remote link.
  • Power-conscious design. Match compute to your power budget.
LACE at the center of six capabilities: sandbox computing, right-sized compute for every mission, in-flight reprogramming, low SWaP, in-flight performance and power control, and designed for demanding environments
